Cosmetic Services at Dental Lounge

Whether you want your teeth a little straighter or you need to cover up some damage, we have the treatments to help you get that picture-perfect smile you deserve. Even better, some cosmetic procedures can improve your oral health, too, giving your teeth and gums improved functioning!

Talk to your dentist about how these procedures may help you:

  • Cosmetic crowns – When your teeth have damage or your natural tooth shape is uneven or unsightly, a crown may be the answer to your problem. Crowns, sometimes called caps, are a common cosmetic dentistry procedure in which your dentist creates a custom-made covering for your teeth.

A crown is typically made from tooth-colored acrylic or porcelain. This material is fused to a piece of metal that affixes to your mouth. The two materials work together to create a covering for your tooth, which acts like a natural tooth and can hold to the pressure you regularly apply when you bite.

These dental fixes are frequently used to treat people who are unhappy with the shape of their teeth or have decayed teeth beyond a basic filling fix. They are also used to repair broken or chipped teeth from trauma, cover-up large fillings, or hide the gaps between widely spaced teeth.

Cosmetic crowns have many advantages that make them highly recommended by many dentists. They can be used to repair a damaged or broken tooth that could otherwise lead to further problems if not fixed. Crowns can strengthen your tooth after you have a root canal or provide extra protection from deep cavities, and are also great at limiting decay from spreading in a weak tooth.

Although they’re considered “cosmetic,” the use of a crown goes well beyond making your teeth look better.

  • Veneers – Veneers are another common cosmetic dentistry treatment. When you are mostly pleased with your smile but have a few little complaints, your dentist might recommend a dental veneer, sometimes called a porcelain veneer or dental porcelain laminate.

Veneers are strategically used by dentists to adjust the color, size, shape, or length of a person’s natural teeth. These dental fixes are simply wafer-thin shells of porcelain or composite material custom-designed to match the rest of your smile’s shades.

This shell is then cemented to the front of your teeth to hide little imperfections such as a crooked or chipped tooth, discolorations, or gaps between your teeth that are causing you to be dissatisfied with your smile.

Although veneers are bonded to your teeth, you don’t have to worry about them damaging your natural enamel. When an experienced specialist like those at Dental Lounge takes care of your teeth, they’ll know ahead of time if your targeted tooth is healthy enough to withstand a veneer. With exams and x-rays, your dentist can quickly tell if veneers are a treatment that is right for you and let you know if there are alternatives that would be a better fit.

  • Invisalign (Coming Soon!) – Clear aligners are quickly replacing the need for many people to head to the orthodontist for complicated, painful braces. These dental fixes are little appliances used by a patient to gently correct slightly crooked teeth that don’t need the complexity and expense of a full set of braces.

While braces are visible and distracting, Invisalign clear aligners are almost impossible to see if you don’t know they’re there. The material is a polyurethane plastic specially designed to be as see-through as possible. It’s lightweight and made to be unobtrusive, with the idea that you’ll quickly forget it’s there!

Unlike braces that are adhered to your teeth, Invisalign treatments can be removed and reinserted as needed. Your dentist will give you specific instructions to ensure you get the maximum impact of your aligner in minimal time. As long as you stick to the guidelines you’re given, Invisalign clear aligners can help fix your slightly crooked teeth and give you the smile you’ve always wanted!

When you’re ready to see how we can fix those little imperfections that are bothering you about your smile, call SB Dental Lounge to schedule your appointment. We can help you get the dazzling smile you deserve so you can show it off with confidence!
